Event Guests
Guidelines regarding Event Participants & Guests
There is no set policy re lists of participants, etc. but there are reasons why we suggest that the local Club should have a record of attendees at special events. Should there be an incident and a claim is filed the first thing the Club would be asked is for comment on the incident and whether or not the individual was in “attendance at” or “on” the date mentioned in the claim, along with other details.
It may be simple to check with others for this information but we do believe that a written record is much more dependable and more accurate than the memory of the group leader, or others. Also, it gives a record for payment or balance owing, etc.
Simply put, it is a call by the Club, but we believe that time spent on creating some form of a list is well worthwhile and should be given serious consideration.
